I am Adelene: I learnt Acceptance throughout my journey.It took me about 30 years to do so.Its interesting how many people fall into the category of being one own enemy.It was a battle for me before. A battle with myself.Unlike all battles mine was one w/o a Victory.I constantly live in my own world battling myself.Recently, I met up with a very close friend of mine.She commented that, I look more at peace with myself now.Which I totally agree.Before,I needed to look good to feel good.Now,I may have put on 4kg(or more)yet I have never felt more comfortable with myself.I don't see the need to get back to the skinny frame I used to have.Though of course there are times when I look into the mirror & wish that my face is a lot sharper.Times when I looked at my previous pixs,knowing I looked slimmer n prettier then.To me now it just means I put on weight.I strongly believe everything happened for a reason.The 'reason' is the meaning u put to it.Whether its my weight gain or the loss of my Iphone.My past may not be the most colourful,the most enjoyable or the most interesting journey.Yet cos of it, I am who I am...I am Adelene.
